Our instructors are volunteers who want to help students everywhere to improve and excel in the subjects of Mathematics and Language Arts.
One of the greatest joys I have found in my life is helping others when they are unable to help themselves. I’ve always enjoyed teaching and mentoring because I want my students to be as passionate about learning as I am. I don’t want them to achieve the bare minimum. I want to encourage them to take on challenges and reach goals that they are too afraid to reach. As a student myself, I’m still trying to do the same by furthering my education at the University of Houston. I will be a Sophomore Biotech major and minoring in medicine and society. Some of my passions include photography, writing, painting, eating, and the occasional Netflix.
I have always had a passion for education and truly believe it is the best investment you can make on yourself and others. I have a Bachelor Degree in Political Science and International Relations with minors in French, Spanish and PR Journalism. I have a Masters Degree in International Affairs and enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures. I have been teaching English as a Second Language and tutoring students of various levels and ages for several years and it has been a very rewarding experience. I enjoy meeting and working with people with different backgrounds and cultures and I look forward to helping all my students reach their full potential.
I have always had a deep love for the math and sciences, as well as helping others. These are two of the many factors that influenced me to pursue medicine. I am currently a pre-medical student at the University of Houston studying Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Medicine & Society. In my free time, I enjoy dancing modern and contemporary styles, playing the piano, and exploring new restaurants and cafés in the Houston area. I am so excited to be a member of the PIFFE team and look forward to helping my students tackle new challenges.

Math is one of my favorite subjects. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science, a Masters degree in Computer Science, and an MBA degree.
Besides my professional, I enjoy gaming, anime, and brain teasers. I am excited to be part of this effort, and I look forward to meeting you in my sessions.

I have a deep appreciation for education because I grew up in a country where education was a privilege, not a right. I started tutoring Math in high school and continued that journey throughout my college years. I pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Mathematics because Math has always been my favorite subject. Even with my busy travel schedule for work, I can continue tutoring students through Pay It Forward For Education since the program does not have any geography constraints on tutors and students. My fellow volunteers are not co-located, and our students live in different states. Beside working and caring for my family, I enjoy musicals, reading, traveling and photography.
I am a California native, born and raised near the Sacramento area. I finished my undergraduate work at California Polytechnic State University, majoring in Computer Science. I then continued to graduate school to earn a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Brown University. Now a Bay Area resident, I work at Adobe building software for photographers. Outside of work, I like to ride bikes, dance salsa, and play guitar.
One of my "favorite things" is a page full of Mathematics problems to solve. There is nothing quite as exciting as the journey from "I don't know the answer" to "I know the answer and what a fun problem!" I enjoy working Mathematics problems and I can't wait to share my enthusiasm and techniques with someone who is still in the "I don't know the answer" part of their journey.
I have a B.A. in Mathematics from San Jose State University because I love taking Mathematics classes. I also love teaching Mathematics classes and I was accepted into the SJSU Teaching Program and got to teach Geometry at a local High School. I was offered a job at Lockheed Missiles and Space in the Algorithm Department and so I got a taste of how Mathematics can be applied to real life situations.
I have 3 children all with special education needs. My two oldest are twins who were admitted into the Gifted And Talented Education learning program (G.A.T.E.) since they were ahead of their peers in every subject and needed extra problems and courses. My youngest was born with Down Syndrome and needs a special learning program since he is behind his peers. Having children at both ends of the educational spectrum has provided me with experience and insights to help students at ANY level.
I am a native of New York City. I graduated from the City College of NY with a Bachelors degree in Biology and Masters degree in Neuroscience. I am currently attending New Jersey Medical School pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a physician. Since High School, I have been dedicated to helping underprivileged youth in achieving academic success through mentoring and tutoring. Having grown up in an underprivileged community, I passionately believe that with hard work, dedication and education anything is possible. Outside of academics, I am an avid cyclist who also enjoys traveling to new and exciting places.
Born and raised in India, I did my Bachelors in Computer Science from College of Engineering Guindy. After working for a couple of years in India, I went to grad school at University of Wisconsin-Madison to get my Masters in CS. I recently moved to the Bay Area, where I am working as a Software Engineer at Oracle. "In teaching, we learn and in learning we teach." The sheer joy of teaching and slipping into a teacher's shoes urges me be a part of PIFFE, interact with students, teach them, learn with them and learn from them. I am super excited to kick start my first online teaching experience.
